Pieter Stathis is a professional cinematographer with 20 years of experience shooting dozens of feature films, television series, documentaries and commercials across North America, Europe, Asia and the South Pacific. Born in southern Greece and now based in Vancouver, Pieter has taught cinematography and film production at the University of British Columbia and holds full membership in camera union IATSE 669. "The Old Woman in the Woods" is his second collaboration with director Caroline Coutts. They previously worked together on her 2007 short film, "DogBoy," which was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Cinematography.

Pieter's four-part HD mini-series "Secret Files of the Inquisition" was shot in Canada, Spain and Italy and received the 2006 Leo Award for Best Cinematography in a Documentary Series and was also nominated for a 2006 Gemini in the same category. Pieter followed this program with four months of shooting in Canada, England, Australia and New Zealand for the 2008 international TV series "Captain Cook: Obsession and Discovery." In 2009, Pieter photographed the HD mini-series "Darwin's Brave New World," which aired on CBC's "The Nature of Things."

Pieter has recently returned from location shooting in Cuba on the theatrical feature "Three Days in Havana" with Gil Bellows and Tony Pantages. The film is scheduled for release in 2013. Travelling from the tropics to the tundra, Pieter is currently on location in Yellowknife, NWT shooting for the CBC series, "Arctic Air" with Adam Beach.

Michael Brockington has been a film and video editor since 1995, working on material ranging from short dramas to indie features, documentaries and performance videos. Highlights include the feature films "Eve & the Fire Horse" by Julia Kwan, winner of the Special Jury Award at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival; "On the Corner," by Nathaniel Geary, which received many awards including a special jury prize at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival; and Bruce Spangler's Genie-nominated film, "Protection." Documentary credits include Jill Sharpe's "Bone, Wind, Fire," Nettie Wild's "Bevel Up" and Murray Siple's "Carts of Darkness," all for the National Film Board of Canada, as well as Erik Paulsson's Leo award-winning documentary "Island of Shadows." Michael also edited the second season of the television series "Alienated" and the dance films "6 Possibilities" and "Subways."

Michael's won Leo Awards for editing "Eve & the Fire Horse" and "Island of Shadows," and picked up a Gemini nomination for his work on "Carts of Darkness." He has directed a handful of short films, and was credited as co-director on the recent documentary "The Edge of the World." As well, he has published short fiction and articles in magazines and newspapers. Michael is a graduate of the film production program at Simon Fraser University, where he also worked for several years as a research assistant in the field of robot vision.

Teresa Connors is active in many aspects of music: as a composer for film, dance, choir and opera, as well as an opera singer. Her award winning film scores span a variety of film genres to include documentary, drama and experimental. As a film composer, Teresa has provided music for a wide variety of Canadian and international films as well as a number of shorts for Canada's Bravo channel. She has scored two experimental film projects: "Terrior" by Montreal filmmaker Shannon Harris and "RGB" by New Zealand filmmaker Andrew Denton.

In 2008 Teresa won a Leo Award for Best Music in a Short Drama for her score on the film "DogBoy," directed by Caroline Coutts. Teresa also scored the feature documentary "When the Devil Knocks" for Bountiful Films, which premiered at the 2010 Vancouver Film Festival and aired on CBC Television early in 2011. The film won a Golden Sheaf Award at the Yorkton Film Festival and was nominated for Leo and Gemini Awards for Best Documnentary.

Hailing from the musically rich island of Newfoundland, Teresa studied both composition and opera singing at Dalhousie University in Halifax as well as at the Banff Center for the Arts. She is presently pursuing a postgraduate degree in music composition at Waikato University in New Zealand.

Ester Bovard, Clayton Flagg and Daren Luc Sasges have almost three dozen credits between them as production designer on local features, shorts, music videos and commercials. Daren was the production designer on the Canadian feature films "Doppelganger Paul," "Sheltered Life" and "Sunflower Hour" (which premiered at Karlovy Vary and was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Production Design in a Feature-length Drama), as well as "Camera Shy," the new feature by Mark Sawers, currently in post production. With Ester he production designed "The Gray Matter," by director Steven Deneault, the recipient of the 2009 MPPIA Film Vision Award and a Leo Award for Production Design in a Short Film. Ester production designed Larry Kent's new feature film, "Exley" and eight shorts, including "The Auburn Hills Breakdown," "Popsicle Sticks" and Mark Ratzlaff's "Beauty Mark," the recipient of the 2011 MPPIA Film Vision Award. Clayton was the production designer for Carl Bessai's 2010 drama, "Fathers and Sons," the 2012 zombie comedy feature "Mon Ami," directed by Rob Grant, as well as numerous shorts including "Exposed," by Mark Sawers.

Alicia Grunert's career in costume and wardrobe styling stems from a long history of involvement in theatre and design spanning multiple mediums. Raised in Vancouver, Alicia graduated from Helen Lefeaux School of Fashion Design. Upon graduation she was named ‘Designer of the Year' and was promptly showcased in Cause & Affect's premiere "Movers & Shapers" show in the fall of 2004.

Seeking further professional direction, Alicia moved to New York to work for several internationally renowned fashion designers, including Marc Jacobs, Lela Rose and Yigal Azrouel. She returned to Vancouver in September 2007 after spending the previous year in Victoria completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree at Royal Roads University.

Upon her return to Vancouver, Alicia was a contributor to Cause & Affect's follow-up "Movers & Shapers" exhibit at The Vancouver Museum in 2008. She has also been a guest speaker at Pecha Kucha Vancouver, an international speaking forum for designers spanning all design disciplines.

As a costume designer, Alicia has worked on the TV series "The True Heroines" and the short films "This Feels Nice," " One of the Two of Us Most Go" and "Chapel Culte." As a costume set supervisor, her credits include the feature film "Girl in Progress" and nine episodes of the TV series, "Mortal Combat."

Alicia currently lives in London, England, where she is working towards a Masters of Arts degree at the London College of Fashion.
